We are approaching the first Post-WrestleMania PPV of the year where the WWE goes to the Extreme. That’s right, WWE Extreme Rules is this Sunday!
With CM Punk, The Rock, and The Undertaker’s absence since WreslteMania the WWE has scrounged together a few random midcard matches, and rushed into the blow-off match between Lesnar and Triple H. So without any further suspense, check out the card for this Sunday’s Extreme Rules PPV.
WWE Championship: Last Man Standing Match
John Cena vs. Ryback
Steel Cage Match
Triple H vs. Brock Lesnar
I Quit Match (Winner Becomes #1 Contender for World Heavyweight Championship)
Alberto Del Rio vs. Jack Swagger
United States Championship Match
Kofi Kingston vs. Dean Ambrose
Tag Team Championship: Tornado Tag Match
Team Hell No vs. The Shield (Roman Reigns & Seth Rollins)
Sheamus vs. Mark Henry
Extreme Rules Match
Randy Orton vs. The Big Show
Chris Jericho vs. Fandango
The Miz vs. Cody Rhodes
Seeing as this PPV has been better than WrestleMania the past two years, I’m hoping this year’s Extreme Rules PPV follows suite and delivers an entertaining show. It’s interesting to see that the Diva’s Title Match has not been added to the card as that story arch has been building since, if not before, WrestleMania. Perhaps they are waiting until the next PPV so that Dolph can compete and defend his championship while AJ wins the Diva’s Championship all in the same night… Then again, that maybe expecting a bit too much sense and continuity on the WWE’s behalf. Either way, it should be interesting to see how this Sunday’s PPV turns out. Let’s hope for something memorable!
